Points failure at Birmingham causes rail delays
Passengers faced rush hour disruption as a points failure caused delays to all services passing through Birmingham New Street station.
Trains were forced to queue outside the station as the failure meant that only half of the platforms could be used.
The queues and delays affected services and passengers for at least two hours, until about 1000 BST.
Arriva Trains Wales, Virgin Trains, London Midland and Cross Country trains were among the services affected.
