Two men rescued from burning boat off Skye

Two men have been rescued after fire broke out on their fishing boat which later sank off Skye.

Smoke was seen coming from the 12m-long Sarah Lena as she was going into harbour at Uig just before 1700 BST.

The men, who were uninjured, were taken off the vessel by a local boat as the Portree Lifeboat stood by.

The Sarah Lena sank at about 2045 BST. Stornoway Coastguard, who co-ordinated the rescue, said the cause of the fire was not known.
