Cornwall cliff fall man airlifted to hospital

A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling off a cliff in Cornwall.

The man, in his 30s, suffered head injuries when he fell 30ft (9m) on to rocks in Morwenstow, just north of Bude, on Saturday afternoon.

Two climbers raised the alarm and Falmouth Coastguards co-ordinated a rescue and dispatched their cliff rescue teams from Bude and Hartland.

The police and ambulance service also helped and a helicopter flew the man to Barnstaple Hospital.
