A 43-year-old man is due to appear in court charged with possession of information likely to be of use to terrorists.

He was arrested in Lurgan by detectives from the serious crime branch on Friday.

It is understood he was detained in relation to an ongoing investigation into dissident republican activity.

The man is expected to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court later on Monday.

On Saturday another Lurgan man, Seamus McGuigan, 39, of Gilpin Manor, was remanded in custody after he was charged with possessing a document likely to be of use to terrorists.

He was arrested after detectives searched his house on Wednesday.

A hand-written letter was found during the search which police say could have been used to interfere with a trial related to terrorism charges.

He is due to appear at Craigavon Crown Court next month via video-link.
