Burglars take cash from woman, 92, in Lowestoft

A 92-year-old woman had several hundred pounds stolen by two men who called at her home in Suffolk.

The men said they were going to replace a roof tile at Hawthorn Avenue, Lowestoft, on Friday afternoon.

Police are keen to trace the man, described as at least 30, and about 5ft 8in (1.72m) to 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall. He was also said to be of medium build with short hair.

He was wearing a black polo shirt with orange writing on the front.

Officers also want to speak to a man, described as being about 40, slim and tall with a very tanned complexion and short dark hair.

He was wearing a dark-coloured top and was seen looking around the Maple Road area, near Hawthorn Avenue, at about 0800 BST on Friday morning.

The burglary happened between 1245 and 1515 BST.
