Man, 21, arrested over pub death in Benson

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a man died following an altercation in Oxfordshire.

Paramedics were called to The Crown Pub, High Street, Benson, at about 2250 BST on Sunday.

A 42-year-old man had collapsed and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old man has been bailed until 17 July. Thames Valley police are appealing for witnesses.

Det Sgt Darren Cartwright, of Thames Valley Police, said: "I would like to reassure the community of Benson that this was an isolated incident and the neighbourhood policing team will be carrying out high visibility patrols in the area."
