Man charged over fatal road crash in Essex

A 40-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal road crash in Essex.

A London taxi and a Volvo car collided on the eastbound carriageway of the A127 at West Horndon early on Thursday 3 December 2009.

Volvo driver John Cooper, 74, from Pitsea, died from injuries received.

A man from Basildon has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed to appear at Basildon Magistrates' Court on 8 July.
