Aberdeen river body a local man in his 80s

A body recovered from an Aberdeen river has been identified as a local man believed to be in his 80s.

The man's body was found on Sunday morning in the River Dee, in the Garthdee area of the city.

Grampian Police had issued a description of an elderly man to establish who he was.

A spokesman said: "Further details are not being released until next of kin have been advised. There are no suspicious circumstances."
