Chinese tourist dies after crash on the A82

A 46-year-old tourist from China died after a crash involving two vehicles on the A82 between Fort Augustus and Spean Bridge, police have said.

Shuping Xu, of Daqing, Heilongjiang, was involved in a collision between a Ford Focus car and Honda Odyssey minivan at Glen Gloy on Sunday.

Five people were taken to the Belford Hospital in Fort William but Ms Xu died from her injuries.

The A82 was closed for six-and-a-half hours following the collision.
