Man, 18, dies after A1 collision in North Yorkshire
An 18-year-old man has died after being involved in a collision on the A1 outside an army barracks in North Yorkshire.
Ryan Gregg, from Ashington, received serious head injuries and died on Tuesday at Newcastle General Infirmary.
The collision occurred shortly after midnight on the northbound carriageway of the A1 directly opposite Marne Barracks, Catterick on 24 June.
It involved a lorry and a roadworks vehicle which was stationary.
Mr Gregg had been in the yellow Fiat roadworks vehicle. Police described the lorry as a white Daf articulated vehicle.
Two men aged 35 and 19 suffered minor injuries in the collision and were taken to the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton.
The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
