Woman, 63, victim of 'terrible' robbery in Aberdeen

A 63-year-old woman was the victim of a "terrible" robbery in Aberdeen which left her injured, police have said.

The attack happened on the city's Portal Terrace at about 2215 BST on Tuesday.

Grampian Police said the victim was left injured and shocked after the robber escaped with her handbag.

Officers want to trace a white man aged between 18 and 20, about 5ft 6in tall, with short dark hair, wearing a black jacket and tracksuit bottoms.

Pc Duncan MacKintosh, who is carrying out inquiries into the incident, said: "This was a terrible attack on a lone woman and we are determined to find the person responsible."
