Cigarettes stolen from lorry at Pershore trading estate

Cigarettes worth an estimated £15,000 were taken after a lorry driver was robbed in Worcestershire.

He was delivering to Pershore trading estate when he was dragged from his cab by two men in a blue four-door VW Golf at about 0730 BST on Tuesday.

They grabbed several cartons from his Iveco lorry then sped off in the Golf, driven by a third man, which was later found to have false number plates.

West Mercia Police said the delivery driver was unharmed.

Officers said the men who spoke to the driver are thought to have had Birmingham accents.

The first was black, 6ft (1.82m) tall, aged between 25 to 30, slim, with short, black hair, and wore dark jeans and trainers, possibly a dark fleece, and dark, wrap-around sunglasses.

The second was white, about 25 years old, 5ft 7in (1.70m) tall, stocky, with long, blond hair, a stubbly beard and wearing a cream hooded top.
