Fire crews tackle large wild fire in Easter Ross

Fire crews have been tackling a large wild fire that has spread over an area of several miles in Easter Ross.

At its height on Wednesday evening 10 fire crews from as far as Inverness and Caithness were on scene at Fearn near Tain.

A helicopter was also brought in to water bomb the flames.

Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service said three pumps remained at the scene and were dampening down a wide area of moorland.
