Woman driving 'wrong way' on M11 in Essex was drunk

A 42-year-old woman who drunkenly drove the wrong way on the M11 has been sentenced to 12 months probation.

Viola Borowska drove her black Peugeot 307 north on the southbound carriageway near the roadworks north of the Stansted Airport junction on 22 June.

The woman, from Enfield, west London, admitted to Harlow magistrates one count of driving with excess alcohol.

She was also given 200 hours' community service and was disqualified from driving for three years.

As part of Ms Borowska's 12-month community order, which she was given at the hearing on Wednesday, she must complete the Drink Impaired Drivers Programme.
