Proposals for Surrey police officers to relocate to council offices in Camberley have been given the go-ahead.

They were approved by Surrey Heath Borough Council, and will enable more joint activity between the police and the council in tackling local issues.

The council said similar initiatives had proven "highly successful" in Runnymede and Woking.

Plans are now being drawn up to move the officers into Surrey Heath House in the autumn.
