Police have released e-fit images of a couple they want to speak to in connection with a burglary in Surrey.

Surrey Police said £12,000 was stolen when three people claiming to be officers searched a property in Miller's Lane, Outwood.

The force said the occupants were not injured during the bogus search, which was carried out by two men and a woman.

One of the men was described as being aged between 50 and 55, the other two were in their mid-40s.

Det Con Julian Knowles said: "We have produced these e-fits in the hope someone will recognise the man and woman and come forward with their names so we can arrest them.

"Outwood is such a small close-knit community and I know this incident has shocked those who live there but I would like to reassure residents we are doing all we can to bring all these suspects to justice."

He asked anyone with information about the burglary, which took place at about 0615 BST on 16 June, to contact Surrey Police.
