Cash stolen during raid on Washingborough pub

Thieves have escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash after breaking into a pub in Lincolnshire and stealing a safe.

They targeted the Ferry Boat Inn in High Street, Washingborough just before 0500 BST on Monday.

Lincolnshire Police said they entered the premises through an upstairs window before forcing the safe from the wall.

Police have asked for anyone who was in the area in the early hours and saw any suspicious activity to contact them.
