A 45-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman whose body was found in a Devon car park.

Shaun Foley, from Torquay, is accused of murdering 29-year-old mother-of-one Teresa Parkin.

Her body was found on the lower levels of the Fleet Walk car park in Torquay on 10 June.

Mr Foley spoke only to confirm his name and did not enter a plea at the preliminary hearing at Exeter Crown Court. He was remanded in custody.

He is due back in court in October. There was no application for bail.
