Eighteen roadworks signs stolen from A9

Eighteen warning signs have been stolen from roadworks on the A9 in the Highlands.

Police said theft from the site at the Slochd, near Inverness, happened some time between last Friday and Monday morning.

The signs taken included warnings of distance to the roadworks and two instructing motorists where to stop for traffic lights.

The signs belong to road maintenance company Scotland Transerv.
