Appeal after four-year-old boy hit by car in Leeds dies

A four-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in Leeds.

Police said the child was reported to have been knocked down at about 1649 BST by a red Alfa Romeo car on Belle Vue Road.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the boy was taken to Leeds General Infirmary but later died from his injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team.
