Holidaymaker from Bridgend dies on Ibiza

A man from south Wales has died on the Spanish island of Ibiza, the Foreign Office has confirmed.

According to local newspaper reports, Andrew Warren, believed to be 30, from Bridgend, died after falling from a balcony on Monday.

A tribute page has been set up in his honour on the social networking site Facebook.

One message said "you really were a true character" and another called him a "gentleman".

The South Wales Echo said Mr Warren, of Brackla, Bridgend, was on a holiday in the island's capital San Antonio with his girlfriend when he fell.

The full circumstances of his death are not yet known.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesman said: "The next of kin informed and we are providing consular assistance."

The Echo has reported that Mr Warren's mother has flown to the island.

'Never forgotten'

More than 700 people have joined the tribute Facebook group, called In memory of Andrew Warren (Woz).

One tribute left said: "Still cant get my head round wats happened. keep thinking of the good times and how you made everyone smile. my hearts goes out to your family and you will never be forgotten."

Another said: "So sad u have left us, such a nice man, such a young age, u will be dearly missed by all that knew you."

Another tribute said: "Going to be sadly missed and never forgotten such a gentleman but also one of the lads who enjoyed life and lived life to the full, still cant believe your gone."
