Glider hits electricity cables in Hampshire

A man has been pulled from a glider after it crashed into a field when it hit electricity cables in Hampshire.

Fourteen firefighters were called to Tunworth Pond, near Mapledurwell, Basingstoke, on Tuesday afternoon.

A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said the glider hit electricity cables before coming to rest upside down in the field.

No details have yet been released about the pilot, or if he was injured.
