Appeal over sex assault on woman in Leeds park

An investigation has started after a woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault in a Leeds park.

West Yorkshire Police said the 47-year-old victim was walking down steps through a park off Rosebank Road when she was attacked.

A spokesman said it happened some time between 1230 and 0330 BST on Saturday.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses, particularly people who are known to have gone to the woman's aid but have not yet spoken to police.
