Inverness Caledonian Thistle player accused of assault

A Scottish Premier League player is to face trial for an alleged attack on a man inside a city nightclub.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Lee Cox is accused of assaulting Greg MacBean at Love2Love in Inverness.

Cox, 20, of Inverness, is accused of repeatedly punching his alleged victim on the head to his injury on 27 September last year.

A trial for the player was set for 28 July with a preliminary hearing on 20 July.
