A woman has died following a car crash which also left her husband and two children injured.

Limi Mostafa, 38, was killed when the Ford Fiesta she was a passenger in was involved in an accident on the A90 north of Finavon in Angus on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to the scene but Mrs Mostafa, of Great Western Road in Aberdeen, was declared dead.

Her 44-year-old husband and their two children - daughters aged three and 10 - were also in the car at the time.

All three were taken to Dundee's Ninewells Hospital for treatment.

The three-year-old girl is serious but stable after suffering head injuries in the crash, while the 10-year-old, who has internal injuries, is in a stable condition.

Their father was treated for minor injuries and has since been released from hospital.

Tayside Police said there were no other vehicles involved in the accident, which happened at about 1540 BST.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are continuing and police are urging anyone who witnessed the accident or who saw the car beforehand to contact them.
