Missing divers rescued after search

Two divers have been rescued near the Mull of Galloway lighthouse after they failed to resurface.

The alarm was raised by the dive boat at about 1230 BST, half an hour after the divers were last seen.

Drummore Coastguard and the Portpatrick and Stranraer RNLI lifeboats were sent to the scene, along with a rescue helicopter from Prestwick. The vessel "Go West" also helped with the search.

The divers were spotted by the helicopter and winched to safety.
