Cyclist dies after fall from bike in Highlands

A cyclist has died after falling from his bike on a road in the Highlands.

Angus Macdonald, who lived in Dundee, collapsed while pedalling on the A830 north of Arisaig at about 1930 BST on Saturday.

The 45-year-old, who was originally from Arisaig, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police, ambulance staff and a doctor attended and the road was closed for four and a half hours.

Police have has asked anyone with information to come forward.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
