Yacht blown on to rocks in Summer Isles

A yacht at anchor with two crew on board was blown on to rocks in the Summer Isles during gales that reached strengths of force 8.

The lifeboat at Lochinver, in Sutherland, was launched to go to the aid of the vessel at about 1250 BST on Sunday.

Stornoway Coastguard helicopter was also called to the scene.

The Lochinver RNLI crew got a tow to the yacht, pulled it off the rocks and escorted to Badentarbet pier.
