Six arrested after street brawl outside Leominster club

Six people were arrested after a brawl outside a nightclub in Herefordshire.

The three men and three women were held after a fight between about 20 people outside Euphoria in South Street, Leominster, at 0230 BST on Sunday.

West Mercia Police said four police officers suffered minor injuries, although none were seriously hurt.

The six people detained were arrested for affray, public order and assaulting police and were released on police bail pending further investigations.

'Large disturbance'

The cause of the fight is being investigated.

PC Jan Thompson, of Leominster police, said: "This was large-scale public disorder for a normally quiet town like Leominster.

"With a large disturbance of this kind we are dealing with a complex and confusing picture.

"It is important we speak to anyone who saw what happened that night or anything that occurred in Euphoria that may have sparked the disorder later on."
