Two men who were stabbed in Belfast have been arrested after police found an empty gun magazine in their car.

A police spokeswoman said it was believed there had been an altercation in the Stockman's Lane area at about 2100 BST on Monday.

The pair, aged 22 and 24, were taken to hospital with wounds not believed to be life-threatening.

A short time later, they were arrested in hospital. Police said they would be questioned after receiving treatment.

Detectives believe the occupants of a second vehicle were involved in the incident.

They appealed for anyone who saw a black Subaru car with blacked-out windows in the area at the time to contact them.
