Sides discuss offshore pay offer

Employers and unions are to meet again next week to discuss a pay and leave offer for offshore catering staff, it has been confirmed.

On Thursday, the RMT and Unite unions officially notified the Caterers Offshore Trade Association of their members' decision to reject a 1.95% pay rise and 21 days' leave.

The offer had been recommended by the unions.

Both sides will now decide whether they see any point in further negotiations.

The trade association said earlier this week it was determined to reach a solution to the dispute.
