Man charged with attempted murder

A 32-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a disturbance in Cullybackey in the early hours of Monday morning.

A 20-year-old man suffered a serious head injury and two other people were also injured during the incident at Tobar Park shortly after 0400 BST.

He is also charged with grievious bodily harm (GBH) with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 24-year-old man has also been charged in connection with the incident.

He is charged with GBH with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both men are due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Thursday.
