Labour calls for emergency VAT cut as retail sales fall

Here's my report on the latest retail sales figures, which showed them falling by 1.4% in May following a 1.1% rise in April.

The figures were released on the same day that shadow chancellor Ed Balls called for a temporary emergency decrease in VAT to revive the economy.
