Indonesia election may hinge on economy

Indonesia will be releasing its first quarter growth figures later today.

They are expected to show Southeast Asia's biggest economy expanded by more than 5% in the first three months of the year.

However, there are concerns that growth is slowing. To counter this, the government recently eased foreign investment rules for its pharmaceutical and power industries.

These are just some reforms that the government has undertaken, because as the BBC's Leisha Chi reports, the economy will play an important role in July's presidential elections.
