Australia reports surge in economic growth
Australia has reported a phenomenal surge in growth for the first quarter of the year.
The economy grew 1.3% in the three months to March, which pans out at an annual GDP rate of 4.3%.
The performance was largely down to mineral exports.
Australia has once again shown that it far out-paces other advanced economies, many of whom are still in recession.
Duncan Kennedy reports from Sydney.
