Isle of Man weapons amnesty nets 110 firearms

A total of 110 firearms have been handed in during a month-long weapons amnesty in the Isle of Man.

A large collection of ammunition, knives and other weapons were also surrendered at Manx police stations during November.

Insp Mark Britton said the size and scale of the response was "brilliant".

The scheme, authorised by the Attorney General, meant people handing in items were exempt from prosecution.
