Archive: Widest UK motorway opens in NI in 1973
David Capper reports on the building of the 'Loughshore Road motorway', which ran between Greencastle, County Antrim, and Duncrue Street in Belfast and forms part of the current M2 / M5.
It was said to be the UK's widest motorway at the time.
