MP Des Swayne asks to 'recant' after National Insurance article

Conservative MP Sir Des Swayne raised a laugh in the Commons when he told MPs his article for his local newspaper backing the now-abandoned National Insurance rise was "already with the printer".

Speaking after Chancellor Philip Hammond confirmed the U-turn, the New Forest West MP said he wanted "an opportunity in which to recant".
