US home buyers in credit struggle
The US government will hold its first major public forum on housing finance on Thursday, with top bankers, economists and federal officials.
They are to discuss how to reform mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, with a plan promised by the government by January.
Meanwhile would-be home buyers are struggling to get credit, despite record low US interest rates.
The BBC's Michelle Fleury reports from New Jersey.
