Charity league table proposed
A leading philanthropist has suggested charities should be ranked according to their benefit to society. Martin Brookes from the New Philanthropy Capital argues that people need help to make more informed choices about who they give to.
Mr Brookes told BBC Breakfast a charity that helps victims of domestic abuse is a more worthy cause than one that helps animals. However, Dawn Vincent from The Donkey Sanctuary says animal charities are valuable too.
