Banks 'take complaints seriously'

The number of complaints made against individual banks has been published for the first time by the Financial Services Authority.

Lloyds Banking Group tops the list - with more than a quarter of a million complaints in the first half of this year. Barclays was second; Santander third.

A spokesman for the British Bankers' Association, Brian Capon, says it is important to see the number of complaints in context.
