German optimism ahead of economy forecast
Europe's economic gloom has seemed unrelenting in recent days. Britain has just announced massive budget cuts, France is in the grip of strikes and the Spanish economy is one of many which are struggling.
There are some chinks of light, though. Germany is forecast to grow strongly this year, with the Economy Minister Rainer Bruederie releasing new details on Thursday.
