Will central banks follow US Federal Reserve's QE move?

All eyes are on the worlds leading central banks to see if they will follow the lead of the US Federal Reserve and launch another round of quantitative easing. On Thursday, the Bank of England and European Central Bank conclude their monthly rate setting meetings.

Many argue the decision by the Federal Reserve to pump an extra $600bn into the US economy is making it harder for the likes of Jean Claude Trichet and his team at the ECB. The euro has already gained some ground against the US dollar threatening Europe's export led recovery.

Philip Tyson is head of Interest Rate Strategy at MF Global and he told the BBC he does not think other countries will follow suit immediately.
