Post Office to 'modernise' under government plans

Post Offices could stay open for longer, cut their queues and offer more services, in an attempt to stop the decline of the branch network.

The government is planning to give it a structure similar to that of the Co-op, but critics say this does not address the network's underlying financial problems.
