Manchester United owners to pay off debt

Manchester United's owners are expected to pay off over £200m of their debts on Monday. It sounds like an impressive move but this money will pay off a loan that has an interest rate of over 16%.

It does not mean the club is free of all its debts. In fact it will still owe over half a billion pounds.

As Professor Stefan Szymankski from CASS Business School explains, Manchester United is not the only football club with debt diificulties.
