Parmalat former chief Calisto Tanzi jailed for 18 years
The former head of the Parmalat food group, Calisto Tanzi, has been sentenced to 18 years in jail for his role in a fraud at the firm.
Former Parmalat executives were also ordered to pay the firm 2bn euros and reimburse thousands of investors who lost money when the company collapsed in 2003.
