Debt advice cuts 'very frustrating'

Tens of thousands of people whose debts are rising are going to lose access to help - just when they need it the most according to Citizens Advice.

Their warning follows the news that hundreds of specialist debt advisers are to lose their jobs, because of cuts in government funding in England and Wales.

However, the Government says it wants to concentrate its efforts on preventing debt in the first place.

Debt adviser Cecilia Torsney says the cuts will cost the government more money in the long run.
