Bookies excited about Grand National
In all the excitement of the race itself it is easy to forget what a big deal the Aintree meeting is for the many businesses involved - not least for the bookie.
The meeting began this week and already some punters have been enjoying a flutter or two.
Some of them told the BBC how much they had won.
Dirk Vennix is the chief executive of the Association of British Bookmakers and he told the BBC the betting shops can turn over £70m to £80m from the Grand National.
