Location-based mobile app takes a fresh approach
Location-based services generally require consumers to 'check in' to a particular location in order to receive offers and discounts from local businesses.
This requires people to reveal their location - something many are loath to do. But now Michiel Verberg, founder of an app called Whatser, believes he has found a new approach to location-based marketing that replaces the check-in model.
