Bank holidays, royal wedding and good weather boost sales

Hot weather, the late Easter break and the royal wedding boosted retail sales for April according to the British Retail Consortium.

Sales on the High Street rose by 5.2% over the month compared to last year with clothing, footwear and DIY retailers benefiting most.

Tom Ironside, director of business at the British Retail Consortium spoke to the BBC.
